Cindy Cottone ’82

Cindy Cottone ’82 passed away April 19 in Springdale, Ark. She enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduating high school and was discharged in 1978. After graduating from UMHB, she was commissioned back into the Army through ROTC. She served multiple assignments as a military police officer at Fort Hood, the Republic of Korea, and completed her last active duty assignment with the Criminal Investigation Division at the Presidio of San Francisco. She retired as a reservist, holding the rank of major. In 1993 Cindy and her family moved to Fayetteville, Ark., where she became a social worker. For a time she worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Arkansas.
