Vera Nichols Sherrill ’40

Vera Nichols Sherrill ’40 passed away November 11, in Turlock, California. She taught English literature and Spanish. At the outset of World War II, she went to Washington, D.C., to serve on the “Home Front” as a secretary for the Navy Department. She later resumed her teaching career in Merced County schools in California, serving as a substitute teacher for ten years.
